Sharón has brought festival and concert audiences to their feet across the U.S. and Europe. Her New York run drew raves from the NY Times and the Wall Street Journal, and she won New York’s Bistro Award for Best Vocalist. Ms. Clark has made multiple international tours in recent years, making her debut in Israel and returning to Russia, where she has developed a major following. Her most recent release, “Do it Again — My Tribute to Shirley Horn,” is on its third printing, and she grabs top honors wherever she goes.

After Hours featuring Christian Fabian, air date Nov. 18, 2019

Join me for the Nov. 18, 2019, edition of After Hours on KCAW Raven Radio as I’m joined in conversation with jazz bassist Christian Fabian.

Christian was born in Sweden and moved to the U.S in the 90’s to attend Berklee College. He is currently active in the New York scene, playing with Mike Longo’s NY State of the Art Jazz Ensemble and around the metro area. He is a co-leader of the New Lionel Hampton Band featuring Jason Marsalis.

Christian has become one of the best-regraded bassists on the U.S jazz scene today. When not in New York or out on tour, Christian can be found in Sitka, where he frequently teaches at the Sitka Fine Arts Camp. He also is a member of the Native Jazz Quartet with Ed Littlefield of Sitka, Jason Marsalis and Reuel Lubag.

After Hours featuring Ray Brown Jr., air date Oct. 21, 2019

Join me for the Oct. 21, 2019, edition of After Hours on KCAW Raven Radio in Sitka, Alaska, when I was joined in an exclusive musical conversation with Ray Brown Jr.

Ray is an American jazz, blues, and smooth jazz pianist and singer. He was born in New York City and is the adopted son of master bassist Ray Brown and world renowned singer Ella Fitzgerald. Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong, Frank Sinatra and many others were regular visitors during his childhood.

After Hours featuring Peter Eldridge, air date Sept. 30, 2019

Join me for the Sept. 30, 2019, edition of After Hours on KCAW Raven Radio in Sitka, Alaska, when I was joined in conversation with Peter Eldridge.

Peter has remained at the forefront of both the singer-songwriter and jazz realms as a vocalist, pianist, composer and arranger. He has five critically acclaimed albums: “Fool No More,” “Stranger in Town,” “Decorum,” “Mad Heaven” and “Disappearing Day” which was released in July 2016 on Sunnyside Records and called “an out and out masterpiece” by allaboutjazz. “Disappearing Day” made many ‘best of the year’ lists, including Downbeat, Jazziz and NPR.

Most recently, Peter and iconic jazz pianist and composer Kenny Werner joined forces on 2019 “Somewhere,” a collection of lush ballads for voice, string orchestra and jazz trio. Peter is also a founding member of internationally acclaimed vocal group, “New York Voices.”
